Originally published in 1937, this book presents a selection of some of the most captivating Greek poetry from antiquity and illumines new nuances of meaning through the author's largely exclusive translations. Ranging between the dates 650 BC and AD 920, the book contains a myriad of poems all concerned with the subjects of love and beauty.
