Originally published in 1937, this book was written to provide young readers with an engaging introduction to the central importance of mythology and religion in Ancient Greece. The text takes the myth of Perseus as its basis, putting together a series of passages from ancient writers dealing with it. Illustrative figures are also presented, revealing a few of the great number of artistic representations of the story.
