Die Wiley Encyclopedia of Computational Mechanics ist eine Neuauflage der Encyclopedia of Computational Mechanics (ECM) aus dem Jahr 2004. Nahezu alle der 71 Kapitel wurde mehr oder weniger umfassend überarbeitet und spiegeln nun die Fortschritte der letzten zehn Jahre in dem Fachgebiet wider. Zusätzlich enthält die Enzyklopädie 18 neue Kapitel zu Berechnungsmethoden, die seit 2004 entstanden sind.
Neue und überarbeitete Kapitel werden als Updates zur bestehenden Online-Ausgabe von ECM unter dem neuen Titel WCMO veröffentlicht. Damit entsteht eine verbesserte Online-Quelle, die Studium und Forschung in den computergestützten Ingenieurwissenschaften unterstützt.
