Chapters also cover Watts' aims as an artist, his relationships and his genius. This fascinating book is highly illustrated throughout, including Watts' sketches, symbolical paintings and portraits. The reader will gain an intriguing insight into the life and work of this complex character, widely considered to be the greatest painter of the Victorian age.
