When she took her trip, she was nearly sixty years old. Starting her journey from Srinagar, she extensively documented her journey describing the flora and fauna, the people, their culture, their lifestyle, the lamas and the monasteries that she came across and so forth.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe travelogue also contains beautiful descriptions of Shergol and Leh, the capital of Lesser Tibet. She also gives vivid descriptions of the colorful bazaars of Leh, and the architectural wonders there. She later extended her journey to Nubra further northwards.
